Founded in 1492, Gmundner Keramik is today synonymous with the best Austrian tableware. It is the unique love of traditional craftsmanship that makes each piece one of a kind. The unmistakable designs and soft ceramic shapes embody 100 per cent Austria. Every piece, from the preparation of the earthenware to the moulding, painting and flaming - everything originates from the Salzkammergut-based manufactory.

Each individual piece not only involves a great deal of labour, but also a great deal of dedication to traditional craftsmanship. In addition to the current range, the manufactory can also produce customised items - starting from just one piece.

In May 2021, the "flaming of ceramics" was declared a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. This means that with a piece of "Geflammten" you hold a true cultural asset from Austria in your hands.

The focus is on mutual inspiration and exchange between one of the oldest locations for ceramic production in Europe and contemporary artists of international standing.
