Industrial and economic history at the Kammerhof Museum Gmunden
Gmunden's industrial and economic history was largely characterised by salt and ceramic production and trade in these products. An industrial history tour through the K-Hof Museum provides an insight into this history via 5 departments of the historic building complex: sacred art, town history, modern art, the Klo & So and the ceramic lifestyle show depot.
5 newly designed showrooms and the Bürgerspitalkirche will be presented in 2024 under the title "Gmunden - the salt capital of the emperors". There is also the mobile app "SALZZEIT.at" - a virtual museum guide through the Salzkammergut! Real highlights include the large-format paintings of the emperors who cultivated close contacts with Gmunden!
The Klo & so was also redesigned in the Capital of Culture year 2024 and shines in new splendour!
