185 years of Traunsee shipping on the Traunsee
Traunsee shipping offers unique natural and cultural experiences on the water, fulfils longings and dreams: and has been doing so since 1839! In that year, two courageous Englishmen (they brought the technology of the steam engine to Lake Traunsee) - John Andrews and Joseph John Ruston - founded the first commercial shipping line on an inland lake in Austria!
In addition to the regular scheduled services (10 landing stages around the lake), which connect Gmunden with all the towns on Lake Traunsee, Traunseeschifffahrt also offers a colourful range of special trips on its 6 passenger ships (including the historic paddle steamer "GISELA", built in 1871).
MUSIC - DUO FITZTHUM / HOFMANINGER
With a varied programme consisting of original compositions as well as contemporary works, the young duo Fitzthum | Hofmaninger will give you an insight into a musical world in which the boundaries between melody and bass, rhythm and sounds as well as improvisation and imitation become blurred.
