VICTORIA COELN - EXHIBITION CHROMOTOPIA
As part of the program of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024 program, the Kunstfabrik 4.0 association has invited the internationally renowned Viennese media artist Victoria Coeln to the Austrian Papermaking Museum in Laakirchen.
She will illuminate both the outdoor space, part of the Traun river, and a space in the museum with her artistic light interventions. Since 1994 she has been developing chromotopes at outstanding locations all over the world. “My chromotopes are created wherever there are questions about living together and where there is a sediment of emotions and memories to be discovered and transformed,” says the artist. In the site-specific outdoor work, the artist devotes herself to the resource of water, which is of great importance for the history and present of the town on the Traun of great importance as a location for paper production. → More information about the exhibition
