THE SUNNIEST HIGH PLATEAU IN UPPER AUSTRIA
SUMMER - Hiking area / WINTER - Ski area
The Feuerkogel, a majestic mountain in the Salzkammergut, rises proudly at 1,592 metres above sea level. It lies on the eastern edge of the Höllengebirge mountains, between Lake Traunsee and Lake Attersee in Upper Austria. The Feuerkogel can be easily reached from Ebensee by mountain railway.
For 97 years (1927), the Feuerkogel mountain railway has been one of the first cable cars in Austria to run up Ebensee's local mountain. Austria's first T-bar lift followed in 1936 - the Stangenlift.
The Feuerkogel offers a fantastic 360-degree panoramic view of the Dachstein and lake region, cosy huts and many sporting opportunities. It stands for modern cable car and lift facilities, family-friendly pistes and modern snowmaking.
Whether in summer or winter, the Feuerkogel is a true paradise for nature lovers and adventurers.
MUSIC - THE "SCHWEINSHAXN"
We, the “Schweinshaxn”, decided in 2010 to go our (folk) musical way together. We have always focussed on the joy of folk music sounds and harmonies. At every performance, the five of us try to pass this joy on to our listeners.
